Data notifications are a way to automatically send push notifications to other users that have permissions to view data when new data is added, modified or removed from a synchronized data collection.

This could be useful to automatically notify a user when a new post has been added to a bulletin board they follow, etc.

To configure push notifications on a synchronized data collection follow these steps:

1. Load the page that owns the data collection
2. Goto the DATA tab
3. Locate the row with the data collection and click on that row
4. In the PROPERTIES pane locate and click on the CONFIGURE button found on the sync property
5. Click on the NOTIFICATIONS tab

If you have configured the push notification service you will be given the option to configure a push notification that will be sent when a data item is either added, updated or removed.

When data notification is configured a push notification will be sent to all the users that have read permission to the affected data. This will be done automatically when the data is synchronized to the cloud.
