How do I use the Aquro User Portal? What is it for? | Aquro Help Center

The Aquro User Portal gives your app's end-users a portal where they can sign in to manage their account and to manage any of their data stored in the Aquro Cloud Database for your app.

Using the Aquro User Portal in combination with setting up proper data classifications will help you become GDPR compliant (GDPR is a sweeping EU regulation regarding how personal data must be stored digitally).

The user will sign into the user portal using the same username and password as he is using in the app (please note that this means User Authentication needs to be enabled in your app in order for it to take advantage of the User Portal).

Activating

To activate the Aquro User Portal follow these steps:

Configuring and customizing

The Aquro User Portal can be configured and customized in a number of ways.

Each app activating the Aquro User Portal gets their own customized URL, starting with https://portal.aquro.com/[yourchoice]

The [yourchoice] extension must not be in use by any other app currently.

User can view a personal data report
When activated, the user can generate a report of all data he/she owns that has been classified as personal data

Show data policy agreement
If your app is using the Cloud.Auth.AcceptDataPolicy coding block to verify that the user has accepted the data policy, then proof that the user has accepted the policy is shown under the “Account” tab in the user portal.

User can remove their personal data
When activated, the user can clear all of his/her personal data from the “personal data report”

User can view their data
When activated, the user can see all of their associated data that is stored in the Aquro Cloud. Please note that any rules while classifying data will overrule this setting (if data is specified to not be visible by data classification, then the data will not be shown to the user).

User can export their data
When activated, the user can export his/her data to CSV files. Please note that only data that the user has access to view according to data classification will be exported.

User can edit their data
When activated, the user can edit his/her data. Please note that only data that the user has access to view and edit according to the data classification will be editable.

User can delete their data
When activated, the user can delete his/her associated data. Please note that only data that the user has access to delete according to the data classification will be removable.

User can remove themselves
When activated, the user can remove his/her user account; all data he/she owns will be deleted as well. Please note that only data the user has access to remove according to the data classification will be removed.

User can change their password
When activated, the user can change his/her password from the User Portal.

Using Facebook authentication

If your app uses Facebook authentication, you must add portal.aquro.com as an app domain to your Facebook app.

This is done in the Facebook developer area.
