How do I use the Aquro Preview App? | Aquro Help Center

The Aquro Preview App is used to preview and test your app on a physical device before releasing your app to the App Stores.

First make sure you have downloaded the app and installed it on your device. You can find it by searching for "Aquro Preview" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Signing in

To be able to use the Aquro Preview app you first need to sign into the app with your Aquro account. When you start the app you will automatically be shown the sign-in page. Sign into the app by following these steps:

  1. Under Account enter your account name (normally your company name)
  2. Under Email enter your email
  3. Under Password enter your password
  4. Tap the SIGN IN button

Adding a app

In order to preview an app you're working on, you'll need to "cue" it in Aquro Preview, here's how:

  1. Tap the menu icon
  2. Tap on the Apps menu item
  3. Click the PLUS icon
  4. You will now be shown a list of the apps you have access to.
  5. Tap on the app you like to add into the preview app.
  6. You may now set an name of this app (this will be the name shown in the Aquro Preview App). This could normally be left as default
  7. If you have access to both the preview and the development version of this app you will be given the option to select which version you like to add. If that's the case then select development version or test version
  8. Click ADD to complete the process

Previewing an app

You may add as many apps to the Preview App as you like. However only one app may be actively queued for previewing at a time. To switch the active app you're previewing, follow these instructions:

  1. Tap on the menu icon
  2. Tap on the Apps menu item
  3. Tap on the app you like to preview
  4. Tap on View App
  5. The app will now be installed inside the preview apps. This may take a few minutes depending on the size of your app and your connection
  6. When installed the app will load and you will be in preview mode

Refreshing an app

If you're previewing an app and wish to refresh it to reflect changes made in the studio, simply follow these instructions while you are previewing the app:

  1. Swipe with three fingers on the screen and drag down
  2. A popup menu will now appear
  3. Tap on the refresh button (the green button)
  4. The app will now refresh the data and then reload

If you are out of preview mode but inside the Aquro Preview App follow these instructions to refresh the active app:

  1. Tap the menu icon
  2. Tap the Home menu item
  3. Tap the refresh button
  4. The app will now refresh and load

Sending comments

To send comments about the current active preview app make sure that you have loaded the app and are in preview mode. Then follow these instructions to send a comment:

  1. Tap with three fingers on the screen and drag down
  2. A popup menu will now appear
  3. Tap on the comment button (the blue button)
  4. You will now be shown a form in the From field enter your name, in the Comment field enter your comment
  5. Click the SEND button to send your comment

Exiting preview mode

To exit the full screen preview of any of your apps, simple follow these steps:

  1. Tap with three fingers on the screen and drag down
  2. A popup menu will now appear
  3. Tap on the exit button (the red button)
