Uploading files to the cloud is really simple if you are familiar with data synchronization. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of adding data to the cloud please read this article first.

Once you have configured a collection to be synchronized, the only thing you need to do is to upload a file to the cloud is to add a data item to the synchronized collection that has one or more properties that have the value that is a path to a local file on the device.

A path to a local file starts with file://

Whenever a property on a data item contains that prefix, the system will automatically try to locate that file on the device and upload the file to the cloud.
