This article will cover how you create a signing certificate in the Apple Developer portal.

Before you can create the signing certificate you first need to generate a certificate request, to generate a certificate request follow the instructions found in this article.

To create a signing certificate for your app follow these steps:

  1. Login to Apple Developer at https://developer.apple.com/membercenter/
  2. Click on Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles
  3. Click on Certificates
  4. Click on the PLUS icon
  5. Select App Store and Ad Hoc
  6. Click on Continue
  7. Click on Continue
  8. Select the file generated earlier (your certificate request)
  9. Click on Generate
  10. Your certificate will now be generated
  11. Click on Download to download your certificate

Now you have generated the certificate needed to sign your application.
